Commemorative Gala - 40 years celebrating the Art of Equestrianism

EPAE – the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art is this year commemorating its 40th anniversary.
On 17th November, at 6pm, there is a special Gala to evoke this anniversary occasion. The event is honoured by the participation of the Real Escuela Andaluza Del Arte Equestre, from Jerez, Spain, Cadre Noir, from Saumur, France and the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art.
In an initiative organised by Parques de Sintra – Monte da Lua, the managing entity of the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art, this cultural performance brings together these three great schools of worldwide renown in order to promote and renew the centuries old practices of Equestrian Art.
This unique Gala, which unquestionably defines and conveys Equestrian Art as a historical-cultural performance, brings together the diverse and different forms of Portuguese, French and Spanish Equestrian Art within the framework of recreating its evolution from the traditional riding skills of an entertaining-cultural nature.
With a purpose-tailored program designed to deepen the spectacular dimension of this event featuring a diverse range of equestrian practices, with music and choreography correspondingly playing leading roles, the Schools perform their respective specialist pieces in addition to others featuring riders from all three of these Schools.
