Lisboa Ibero-American Capital of Culture 2017 | "Past and Present"

With the title "Past and Present - Lisboa Ibero-American Capital of Culture", the event brings together the indigenous, Afro-descendants and migrations issues to contemporary creation.

The program presents more than one hundred and fifty activities among shows, exhibitions, conferences, concerts, theater, dance and gastronomy that will take place in more than forty cultural facilities linked to Lisbon City Council and the Ministry of Culture.

The event opens with the exhibition "Al Final del Paraíso" by the Mexican artist Demián Flores. Work inspired by the chronicles of the Spanish missionary Bartolomeu de Las Casas on the natives of Mexico.

In the evening, in São Luiz Municipal Theater, the party begins with three young and female voices: Gisela João (Portugal), Mariela Condo (Ecuador) and Yomira John (Panama).
