The Social Emergency Fund of Lisboa is a financial support, of exceptional nature, to private social welfare institutions (IPSS) and similar entities that operate in the municipality of Lisbon and that, because of the crisis, are seeing an increase in demand or a decrease of their responsiveness.

Which are the institutions that may request the support from the Social Emergency Fund of Lisboa?

The IPSS and similar entities operating in Lisboa and with a valid registration at
Direcção-Geral da Segurança Social (DGSS) and that due to the crisis are unable to continue their activity and social actions and do not receive support from other entities for that same reason and for the same purpose.

Is there a mandatory registration at the “Base de Dados de Atribuição de Apoios da CML” within the scope of the Social Emergency Fund of Lisboa?

Registration of the applicant in the Base de Dados de Atribuição de Apoios (BDAA) da CML is optional. Registration in the referred to database is an advantage, in order to find the relationship between the entity and the Municipality, in regards to received and/or requested support.

No, the private social welfare institution (IPSS) should be as clear as possible in its request, the amount requested, the object and purpose for which it makes the request, stating always, objectively the reason for requesting this extraordinary support (see the
