The presentation of the project happened during August 9th, by the bridge's pillar,. At the ceremony participated the Minister of Planning and Infrastructures, Mr Pedro Marques, the Mayor of Lisbon, Mr Fernando Medina, the Director of the Association of Tourism of Lisbon, Mr Victor Costa, and the Vice-President of Infrastructures of Portugal, Mr José Serrano Gordo.

The Mayor of Lisbon was quite happy with the project because 50 years later it presented a new, enriching, element, allowing use to know the 25 de Abril Bridge, making of it a balcony over Lisbon and the South margin of the river.

The new interpretation centre of the 25 de Abril Bridge – Experience Pillar 7 will allow to all the visitors a unique discovery of the Bridge. The experience culminates with a trip in a lift to a panoramic Belvedere that will allow for a new perspective of Lisbon, particularly over Belém and the Tagus river.

The works will be concluded by 2017, allowing all to experience new sensations at this iconic and structural element of the city.
