The proposals came out of the first metropolitan area summit and will now be discussed until June with the Government, in search of decentralization and access to the investment cycle for the next decade. The goal is to improve and facilitate the lives of the citizens, which includes greater social cohesion and the fight against exclusions, stated Fernando Medina.

The first summit of the metropolitan areas of Lisboa and Porto, held on March 20, at the Queluz National Palace, ended with a declaration of common goals that until June will be negotiated with the Government in four key thematic areas: mobility and transport, housing, the process of decentralization of skills and Local Finance.
