Social Security buildings to become affordable rent housing

17, July 2018

Fernando Medina signed with the Minister of Labor and Social Security, José António Veira da Silva, a protocol that foresees the passage of 11 Social Security buildings, currently destined for offices, to the management of the Lisboa City Council, which will be transformed into housing within the affordable rent program and a student residence. In an investment of around 23 million euro, the city will have 250 more houses to rent at controlled costs, between 100 and 600 euro, and 226 rooms for students (see presentation).
