Urban Art celebrates abolition of the death penalty

05, April 2018
In the area of Santa Apolónia, the new mural was executed by Mário Belém.

Done within the attribution of the European Heritage Label to the Law Letter to Abolish the Death Penalty and to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Abolition of the Death Penalty in Portugal (1867-2017), Lisboa has a new urban art piece in Santa Apolónia.

The mural was done from March 26 to 31 at Calçada de Santa Apolónia / Rua da Bica do Sapato, near the old Cais do Tojo da Bica do Sapato, a location that, in the past, was scenario for executions of capital punishment to serve as public example.
