The Village Underground arrived in Lisbon in 2014, replicating the concept of London: "a work space for the creative community, and a multicultural space.".

The space, in Alcântara, has 14 maritime containers transformed into workshops, which can be rented for a month, a week, or an hour. The meeting room and the cafeteria came from the renovation of two Carris buses, which had already been disabled.
