Places of Worship

Lisboa, a dynamic and tolerant city, has been, throughout the time, a meeting point and trading centre for people from diverse racial, ethnocultural, and religious backgrounds.
This multicultural city is a place where, over the centuries,  the foreign communities could organize themselves and built their own places of worship.
Portugal is mostly Roman Catholic and residents or visitors who express themselves in languages other than Portuguese will find churches with Mass in their own language.
Other religions enjoy freedom of worship and citizens can find places of worship that respond to diversity.
