Twining, Cooperation and Friendship Agreements

Twinning between different cities was born from the deep conviction that if all men could establish closer ties, international cooperation and understanding would be more authentic and a great step towards peaceful living, solidary development and for everyone’s wellbeing would be taken. In reality, twinning enables the establishment of a universal network of cities, cementing relationships of friendship, exchange and solidarity, defining the international right of participation, under which a citizen from any city in the world can participate in the wellbeing, progress and services offered by any other city, for the simple fact of residing or being there.
