“Photo Ark - The New Ark of Noah" | National Geographic exhibition

29 November 2018
 to 05 May

The exhibition features more than 100 images by the National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore. Half of these animal species portraits are unpublished and another 12 were photographed in Portugal. This show is part of an ambitious project with a simple goal - to create portraits of the world’s species before they disappear and to inspire people to care.

The main goal is to document an estimated 12,000 species of birds, fish, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. So far the photographer has visited more than 250 zoos and wildlife centers in more than 40 countries.

In addition to the photographs, there will be three documentaries about the project.
