CRUISE TERMINALS

The redevelopment of the riverside area of the city, begun in the 1990's, was intended to open up the riverside to the public without losing the port. The process has included restoring the architectural heritage associated with the area’s industrial and port activities, and improvement of the docks and quays. At the same time, new cultural and leisure facilities have been developed.
The three cruise terminals - Alcântara, Santa Apolónia e Jardim do Tabaco - located in the centre of the city, offer good services and easy and fast connections to the various tourist places.

In 2011 the Port of Lisboa wins the Leading International Cruise Award, in the 2nd edition of the Cruise Excellence Awards.
